Alcohol Ink Art Prints & Cards
Artist Karen Johnson uses vibrant alcohol ink pens and drops of neat alcohol on Yupo paper (a 100% recyclable tree-free paper) to create her stunning images. Yupo has a shiny finish which allows the inks to sit on the surface, rather than being absorbed, giving time to apply different techniques such as dipping, blowing, brushing and misting. The inks themselves are bold luscious colours, but when the various techniques are applied they can take on the soft look of watercolour paints - albeit with a more vibrant effect.
