Claire’s gorgeous, elegant illustrations are the perfect match for the simple shapes of her contemporary lamps, lampshades and tea-light covers.
Nature had always inspired Claire to paint, sew and create pieces of art, but she was keen to create something practical, something that could ‘sit in my home’. Claire realised that lamps were the perfect way to show off her illustrations - combining a useful object with her art. A lack of knowledge on the subject of lamps proved no barrier to creativity, and A Northern Light was born!
We love her lampshades, column lamps and tea-light covers - their subtle designs adding just enough interest to the simple forms. Why have a plain white lampshade when you can have something a little more special?
