An original oil- bar artwork by Dorset artist Eleanor Spalding.
Dorset's famous Arne Nature Reserve captured plein- air on a dramatic day. Yellow gorse and purple heathers dot the landscape and an enticing path leading onwards.
Eleanor chooses to paint 'en plein air' wherever possible, which gives her work a freshness, as does her choice of materials. By using oil bar and oil pastels she is able to create wonderful textures that 'melt' into the paper. These materials have the buttery consistency of oil paint, but with the immediacy and ease of charcoals and pastels, which means she uses no brushes at all.
Please note that this is an original and a complete 'one off' (please ignore the 'only a few left' grey bar under 'Add to Basket').
This artwork is available for Click & Collect Only due to the size and nature of the glass glazing. If you would prefer delivery arranged. Please purchase online, and get in touch via email or give us a call.
